Talk about STRESS!!!
So we put in a offer on a GREAT house and they accepted! Whoo Hoo! We are having the inspection next week and then it's mostly just waiting on the bank to finalize everything. Here's a pic:
It's going to be a great hosues for us! It's in a really good neighborhood. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Ready to move in!
So that process is going great but the sale of our house is getting kind of stressful. We signed the contract on Friday. And yesterday (Wednesday) they did their home inspection. Now technically we had a 5 day inspection period (which is what they wanted) and they did not give us their written requests on the house by the 5th day which was yesterday. So legally we don't have to fix any of their requests. But this morning the agent emailed with some concerns (not an official request). But the problem with all of the concerns is that most of them were concerns when the buyers owned the house the 1st time. The buyers lived in our house about 5 years ago and want to buy it back. One of the concerns is the roof. They think that the shingles need to come down about 2 more feet to cover the siding. They want us to replace the entire roof to fix it. Well they were the ones that put the new roof on 5 years ago, seems like they would have extended the shingles then.
And they did the inspection yesterday afternoon. Jonathon was off of work so he checked everything out before he left the house. Well when I got home from work last night, the air conditioning wasn't working. It was working when Jonathon left (about 15 minuted before the inspector came). And it is still currently not working. And the fun part is that nobody will take resposibility for it. The realtor won't help, the inspector doesn't seem to know what to do. So we slept in a warm house last night and probably will again tonight until we get it figured out.
And I thought moving day would be the most stressful part!

Keri, your house is so pretty!! I hope everything gets straightened out so you can just deal with getting your babies' rooms decorated! =)
Keri, we definitely need to catch up. I see I have missed out on a lot. Let's actually have dinner one night, okay?
